While Sonam Kapoor is busy taking part in blind in Sujoy Ghosh’s movie subtly entitled Blind, Taapsee Pannu goes sightless in Blurr. A suspense thriller about twin sisters tailored from director Guillem Morales’ Spanish movie Julia’s Eyes, a taut and clenched 2010 suspense thriller.
This is the first double role for Taapsee. But not her first Spanish remake. Taapsee performed the lead in Sujoy Ghosh’s Badlaa a remake of the Spanish movie The Invisible Guest directed by Oriol Paulo. Interestingly Oriol Paulo has a Blurr connection. He wrote the unique Spanish movie Julia’s Eyes on which Taapsee’s Blurr is predicated.
Blurr is directed by Ajay Bahl whose earlier movie was the critically acclaimed Article 375. Gulshan Devaiah who performs Taapsee’s main man in Blurr says, “I am excited to be doing this film. And happy to be working in these difficult times.”
