‘Cruel Summer’ Renewed for Season 2 at Freeform

“Cruel Summer” has been picked up for a second season at Freeform, the community introduced Tuesday.

The information comes forward of the hit present’s Season 1 finale, which airs Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Led by Olivia Holt and Chiara Aurelia, the thriller debuted again in April to report multi-platform viewership for Freeform. According to the community, “Cruel Summer” at present stands as its most-watched collection ever, averaging 6.8 million viewers throughout all platforms, together with the linear channel, on demand, the Freeform app and Hulu.

Described as a psychological thriller, “Cruel Summer” facilities on Kate Wallis (Holt), the favored woman with a charmed life who someday goes lacking, and Jeanette Turner (Aurelia), the nerdy wannabe who’s accused of being linked to Kate’s disappearance.
