Caitríona Lagan is an All-Ireland champion musician from Castledawson, County Londonderry.
The 15-year-old performs 5 instruments – banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and mandola.
During lockdown she started posting movies on social media showcasing her wide-ranging musical expertise.
“I will remember music helping me through lockdown, it gave me something to do and it kept me going,” she instructed BBC News NI.
On Thursday, the Northern Ireland Executive introduced the rest of guidelines round stay music could be delayed to five July.
The adjustments have been delayed because of considerations about a rise in case numbers of the Delta variant.
Caitríona stated: “I haven’t seen any of my friends who play music in sessions for so long and I can’t wait to see them again, it will be great to play together.
“I really like taking part in Irish conventional music, it helps me escape and I’ll by no means give it up.”
